Sie sucht den Passagier …

Diese junge Frau geht durch die Union Station in Los Angeles. Sie ist auf der Suche nach dem „Passagier aus Chicago“. Wird sie ihn hier finden? Los Angeles nimmt im dritten Kapitel des Buches einen breiten Raum ein. Die Protagonisten, Erik und Amelia, reisen die Westküste der Vereinigten Staaten hinunter. Mit dem Zug kommen sie in die Stadt und fahren weiter nach Santa Monica, wo sie einige Tage am Pazifik verbringen. Da sind sie bereits ein Paar geworden und sehr verliebt. Doch das Schicksal soll es nicht gut mit Amelia meinen.

Derzeit gebe ich als Autor dem Text noch einen letzten Schliff. Die erste Fassung ist bereits aus dem Lektorat zurück, und ich überarbeite gerade das Kapitel, das in Los Angeles spielt. Deshalb poste ich auch dieses Foto. Der Bahnhof von Los Angeles ist übrigens tatsächlich beeindruckend. Er ist groß, es herrscht aber auch eine Menge Leben dort, seit die Vorortzüge und Pendlerbahnen dort halten, ebenso wie die U-Bahn. Erik und Amelia reisen hier mit dem „Pacific Surfliner“. Bleiben Sie gespannt, wie sich die Geschichte weiter entwickeln wird.

She is looking for the passenger

This young woman is walking through Union Station in Los Angeles. She is looking for the „passenger from Chicago“. Will she find him here? Los Angeles takes up a lot of space in the third chapter of the book. The protagonists, Erik and Amelia, travel down the west coast of the United States. They arrive in the city by train and continue to Santa Monica, where they spend a few days on the Pacific Ocean. By then they have become a couple and are very much in love. But fate is not to mean well for Amelia.

Presently, as the author, I am still putting the finishing touches to the text. The first draft is already back from editing, and I’m currently revising the chapter set in Los Angeles. That’s why I’m posting this photo, too. By the way, the Los Angeles train station is indeed impressive. It’s big, but there’s also a lot of life there, since the commuter trains and suburban trains stop there, as does the subway. Erik and Amelia travel here on the „Pacific Surfliner.“ Stay tuned to see how the story will develop.
